Can I have a 2 panel bifold door with a traffic door?
No, they cannot have a traffic door. Also, due to their unique V-shaped opening of two-pane bifolds, coupled with the positioning of the locking mechanism in the middle, results in a design where handles are not present on the external side of the bifold door. This characteristic makes them less suitable for situations where the doors serve as the sole point of access to a room, such as in the case of garden rooms.
Can you get 2 panel bifold doors?
Yes, of course. We manufacture aluminium bifold doors from 2 panels up to 7 panels all folding one way.
Can you open a 2 panel bifold door from the outside?
No, as 2 panel bifold doors have no external handle there is no way of locking, opening or closing it from the outside. They can only be locked from the inside and therefore less suitable for outbuildings, garden rooms and single access rooms.

June 17, 2023Very happy with our doors, we got a few quotes from some other companies which was in excess of £10,000 for 4 bi-folds – Prime Aluminium saved us over £3000. Anyone thinking about fitting yourself just make sure there is 2 of you as the panels are about 50kg each. Will recommend in the future to anyone looking for new bifold doors.
